It is not enough to deploy a good portfolio project management tool to ensure optimal governance for your business transformation. Follow the following five golden rules to structure your approach and increase your success tenfold.
Our position: a project should not exceed three months. Long-running projects create chaos in teams, which lose commitment over time - and often, they never see the light of day.
To ensure that each project lasts a maximum of three months, segment your longer projects into several large phases of three months each. In this way, you motivate all stakeholders, and ensure optimal project management.
To properly manage your project portfolio, everything starts with a good definition of the priorities to be given to each of your projects. However, very often, for management, most projects have a high priority: difficult then to prioritize on a daily basis in your governance!
