Good morning,

You know how satisfying it is to end of a big tidying up session? It's been a mess for a long time but you always have more urgent things to do... Once finished, you turn around and it's perfect, everything is in its place.

Our team and I love working on new features but sometimes we also have to clean up! That's what we did this month, concerning two key elements of collaboration on AirSaaS: news feed and notifications.

Since then, we've been happy with this simple enjoyment of life.

Impactful changes

A new news feed - without the noise

Until now you could see all the messages from public projects appear on your news feed. Which is okay at the beginning - but when you manage 230 projects, that becomes an issue.

Now you will only see the messages of the projects you follow.

A news feed, without the noise

By default you follow the projects in which you are involved (if you're the manager or a member of the project team). But you can also follow other projects using the “Follow” button.

☝️ Your news feed = the latest news from the projects you follow

For more details, I'm explaining everything to you here.

More relevant notifications

In the same vein, the notification system has been revised. Before, you received a notification for everything that happened on your workspace...

Now you will only get notifications if:

  • You have been assigned a role (project manager, decision maker, etc.)
  • You have been mentioned in a message (post, decision, comment, etc.)
  • Someone answered to one of your messages
  • The assessment of one of your projects has begun

And we reviewed the design to better understand the context.

See the health status of the project at a glance

When reviewing projects, it is important to have health information without having to go into the details of each of them. That's why it's now shown to you in the summary of the presentation.

Project managers can then post a project health update at regular intervals. It's now possible to post twice with the same value.

Spoiler alert: you will soon be able to set up reminders so that the manager no longer forgets to update their projects ⏰

I'll tell you more about it here.

Small things that make the difference

🏷️ We've added an indication of changes in framing values  to the presentation

🍬 We have changed the design of the portfolios - it is not yet perfect, we will continue to improve it to make it as readable as possible

🗓 The project date selector has been improved. You can now enter them by hand

Corrected bogues
  • The programs were no longer displayed on the portfolio: that's fixed
  • The change in confidence on the milestones was no longer displayed in the presentation: it has been fixed
Optimization insights

We still received a lot of super interesting ideas, like for example:

  • S.T. “I would like to see more projects on the timeline and be able to move them around”
  • V.P. “I would like to store the reports automatically on SharePoint”
  • C.C. “I would like to add people involved in my programs”
  • D.M “I would like to add projects to the program, from the program page”

If you too have small frustrations (or big ones), or ideas for improvement to share with us, do not hesitate, post them in the Club here !

Thanks again for all your feedback!

We do our best to ensure that the tool brings you maximum value.
